- scissors
- marker (teacher use)
Search for stars while reviewing size, numbers, and the star shape.
- Cut five star shapes from construction paper. Vary the sizes of the stars from small to large.
- Label the stars with the numbers 1 to 5, starting with 1 on the smallest star and ending with 5 on the largest star.
- Hide the stars around the room.
- Search for the stars throughout the day with the children.
- Before the end of the day, show all five stars. Review the star shape together. Then, help draw attention to numbers on the stars. Line the stars up by size and from the numbers 1 to 5. Count to five together. Help the children identify the littlest star and the biggest star.
