  • Cow Stick Puppet (see Resources)

As you begin a new month and a new theme, introduce a new puppet friend, Cora Cow. June is Dairy Month and Cora Cow will help us learn and have a lot of fun!

  • Show the Cora Cow Stick Puppet (see Resources) and introduce her to the children.

  • Sing "Cora Cow" below.

  • Encourage the children to tell Cora their names as they show readiness. Assist the children with their names as necessary. Some children may enjoy just waving hello to Cora Cow.

  • Discuss Cora Cow's colors.

  • Find body parts on the cow such as her eyes, nose and ears.
Cora Cow
Sung to "I'm a Little Teapot"

I hear Cora Cow say,
"Moo, moo, moo!"
That's how she says,
"Howdy do."
When she's feeling hungry,
She will eat.
She thinks grass is
Quite a treat!
