Help children decide whether each piece has wheels or no wheels. Bring out toy vehicles. Include some that do not have wheels such as toy helicopters and boats. As you look at the toys, help the children decide which vehicles have wheels and which ones do not. Combine the puzzle pieces with the toy vehicles. Encourage the children to sort them by whether they have wheels or not. When finished, the children can assemble the puzzle again. Older Toddlers: Count the vehicles in each pile. You Will Need:

vehicle peg puzzle
toy vehicles with and without wheels

Sort vehicles by whether they have wheels or no wheels.

Bring out your vehicles peg puzzle. Help children decide whether each piece has wheels or no wheels.
Bring out toy vehicles. Include some that do not have wheels such as toy helicopters and boats. As you look at the toys, help the children decide which vehicles have wheels and which ones do not.
Combine the puzzle pieces with the toy vehicles. Encourage the children to sort them by whether they have wheels or not.
